Life changed quite a bit when we found out we were expecting a few months back and it made for an exciting Thanksgiving; after two appointments its been one blessing after another.
Our senses have also played a role in our almost daily discoveries. Last week we cried after hearing our son/daughter's heartbeat--defined by Webster's Dictionary as "one complete pulsation of the heart.". Sound reverberation was like nothing else on January 5, 2011 at 5:35pm. Two words: tears and joy! My next thought was of a great song by U2 "Two Hearts Beat as One" which I'm sure had nothing to do with our love child and 10's perfect home for our gift.
The fact that we didn't know if 10 was far enough along made it extra special. OurOB , Dr. Fulton, told us 12-14 weeks is the minimum for the heart machine to pick up the heartbeat.
So how far along are we? Well, its actually changed. Changed again. And then again. I’m planning to make a small fortune on the delivery pool, just kidding.
Due Date Timeline
•July 3 (our estimate) on November 22
•August 1 (heart monitor) on January 5
•June 28 (confirmed by ultrasound) on January 11
I'm told ultrasound is gospel; however we know that God's hand and plan is in this situation and it is good (Psalm 139:14-17), we know God's will be done and our daughter/son will arrival on time and totally healthy. We have the God kind of Faith (Mark 11:23-24).
